Manila, I found to be a very interesting place. We stayed two night in Manila at the Manila Hotel. We arrived late the first night and didn’t do much besides get a cab to the hotel and go to sleep. The next morning is when we started to explore Manila and the hotel a bit. I loved staying at the Manila Hotel. It wasn’t too far away from the airport, right on the Bay, nice very comfortable and spacious rooms and a hotel with a lot of great history. General Douglas MacArthur stayed there for 6 years during the war. There is a stunning MacArthur Suite that you can reserve, if you are looking to have a spacious room with meeting rooms and luxury accommodations. The pool is right off of the bay and has great views of the Harbor, they have a great fitness facility and spa. They offer breakfast and English afternoon tea.

We also spent a few hours at the massive SM Mall of Asia. There is great shopping, some great restaurants, and a lot of great areas to people watch.

Other than being a huge big city. I really enjoyed being in Manila. But I can tell that it would be nice for only a few days and then want to get to a beach resort someplace.
