Camsur Watersports Complex

We spent our last weekend at Camsur Watersports Complex outside of Naga City. We had to take a small turbo prop plane from Manila to Naga City. And then the Camsur Watersports Complex (or CWC as they like to be known as) did have free transportation to their property. I’d been to their website and somewhat knew what this property had, but I actually had no idea what it was like until I got to the resort and was able to look at exactly everything they had.

The CWC is a massive resort. I still don’t know who initially designed the complex. I heard both the government and private people while we were staying there. CWC is a watersports park designed specifically work wakeboarding, wakeskating and waterskiing. You can be a beginner rider or a professional wakeboarder and skiier to use their facilities. The CWC has a 6-point cable ski system, as they like to stay on their website. Really what it is, is a system they have designed for people to be towed around this lake. They actually have about 4 lakes that I could see that have tow ropes on them. 3 are more of the beginner lakes that will pull you to one side and then the back to the other side (if you are lucky to stay up on the board). The other one is for people who actually have the ability to stand up on a wakeboard for more than 5 seconds. It is a lake that is shaped in a doughnut and has this tow rope high in the middle of the water.

When we were there, there was a national competition going on. There was also a lot of festivals and different fun things to do. The complex that particular weekend was not designed for a peaceful romantic quiet weekend. Especially with the multiple concerts at the resort that lasted into well past midnight.

Once we arrived, we were happily greeted by a band and dancers at the check-in desk. They escorted us to our room. The complex has 7 different options for you to stay in. There are Tiki Huts, Wood Cabins, Shipping Containers, Cabanas, Villas, EcoVillage (Tough Sheds), and a Mansion Suites. We chose to stay in the Wood Cabins. I thought they were nice sized Cabins. Small shower but with a nice living area and a decent bed. No televisions in any of the rooms, yet alone a clock. They did have free Wireless Internet which was a plus.

This resort was amazing. I still was floored to be in the Philippines, outside a smaller remote town of Naga City and have this resort around. People who are very into Wakeboarding, Wakeskating, or Waterskiing who want to go to a different resort, this is the place to go.
